For the open space planning of the Willy-Brandt comprehensive school in Munich, a concept was developed that connects the break areas and sports areas with each other and creates a modern learning environment with a variety of uses. The JOGI table-bench combinations form an extension of the adjacent canteen into the outdoor area and invite students to take their lunch break outside when the weather is nice. At the same time, they provide an infrastructure for learning outside the school building and can be used by pupils and teachers as a “green classroom”. The choice of colors and the organic shapes set accents in the exterior design and incorporate existing colors and architectural elements in their design. This results in a harmonious overall picture with a high quality of stay.

In addition to a closed product version, the inclusive version - with two openings on each of the short sides - also allows wheelchair users to sit at the table. The round shape of the design allows eye contact with everyone sitting at the table, making it particularly suitable for group work, meetings and discussions in smaller groups. HPL (high-pressure laminate) with an anti-slip honeycomb structure was selected as the surface for a tactile experience and a good grip. The robust basic construction made of hot-dip galvanized steel ensures a high level of stability in daily use, while the slender feet create a light, almost floating impression of the seating objects.
