For the redesign of the market square in Willich, various open space objects were designed and produced in close collaboration with the landscape architecture firm KRAFT.RAUM, creating an attractive town center with a high quality of stay. Directly in front of the monumental St. Katharina church, a 12-metre-long table with associated seating objects was erected, which can accommodate around 40 people.

The symbolic reference to the historic building is reinforced by the high-quality material and robust workmanship. At the same time, the nature of the long table creates a communicative and communal space where both city dwellers and visitors can come together informally. The indirect lighting also creates an inviting atmosphere in the evening.

Just a few meters further on, a large seating and sunbathing platform invites you to linger, relax and play and enlivens the town center in a natural way. Users can also find a shady spot under the trees integrated into the seating platform on sunny days. From here, it is a wonderful place to watch the town events and the water feature opposite. Thanks to its open and multifunctional design, the newly designed market square in Willich has become an urban living room; a place to meet, be active and relax at the same time.
