The redesign of the market square in Altenberge has created an open and barrier-free town center using various open space planning methods. This extends from west to east and combines the different sub-spaces into a whole.
The redesign of the market square in Altenberge has created an open and barrier-free town center using various open space planning methods. This extends from west to east and combines the different sub-spaces into a whole.
In order to create a communicative space with a high quality of stay, various open space objects were developed in close cooperation with the landscape architecture firm scape. Bench supports as well as straight and curved benches give the new market square its inviting character and a harmonious appearance. As the central element of the new town center, a 13-meter-long bench stretches along the rammed concrete wall and offers visitors enough space to pause and communicate.
The detailed wooden slats with concealed screws and the robust basic construction made of powder-coated steel emphasize the quality of the new benches. At the same time, high backrests, armrests and generous seating areas create a special seating comfort for all age groups.
